A simple home remedy for summer colds and flus. The coldness at the feet draws circulation downward and helps move lymphocyte and other immune cells around to stimulate your body in defending itself:
Take a pair of thin white cotton socks and soak in cold water. Ring out so they are not dripping wet.
Bring the wet socks and a pair of thick woolen socks to bed.
When in bed and getting cozy, put on the cold wet socks (don’t forget to breathe!) and then the wool socks over top.
Keep yourself covered while sleeping. Your feet will feel a little tingly at first, but in the morning the socks will be dry!
This works really well with kids.
