With the onset of warmer weather, kids are susceptible to picking up some little bugs that cause what is known as summer diarrhea. A yummy, refreshing, and healthy preventive tip includes a refreshing glass of raspberry leaf tea cold infusion (i.e. raspeberry tea steeped in ice water, stepped minimum twice as long as warm tea, if not longer) with a squirt of lemon.
Raspeberry leaf is a tasteful herb that has anti-microbial and anti-oxidant properties, and is also high in minerals or electrolytes.
This tea can also be used to prepare for childbirth and tones the uterus.
Excellent source of electrolytes! And nature’s gatorade. Add a few dried hibiscus flowers and/or rose hips for some extra vitamin C, and a pinch of salt for the extra hot days.
